Signature Plastics

Finishes & Secondary Operations

Signature Plastics provides secondary operations as part of our custom extrusion process to deliver finished, ready-to-use parts.

Once a profile is extruded, it often requires additional processing to meet handling, packaging, or integration requirements before it can move into a customer’s workflow. Secondary operations address these post-extrusion needs by modifying the profile’s length, surface condition, or configuration so it can be used as intended in downstream processes.

Signature Plastics provides secondary operations alongside extrusion to support this transition from profile to part. Our capabilities include cut-to-length processing, tape application for protection or spacing, grinding to achieve required edge or surface conditions, and light assembly where profiles must be combined or pre-configured prior to shipment. These operations help you receive parts in a form that matches how you build, ship, or install.

Cut-to-length processing
Pofiles are cut to specified lengths to meet dimensional, packaging, or installation requirements and eliminate the need for downstream cutting.
Tape application
Tape is applied to protect finished surfaces during handling and transport or to provide consistent spacing between profiles during stacking or assembly.
Grinding
Grinding is used to adjust edges or surfaces to achieve required finishes, remove excess material, or meet fit and interface requirements.
